Directions to Calverton Lodge, Lydenburg/Mashishing, Mpumalanga Province
Take the N4 to Belfast/Nelspruit or N12 from Johannesburg to Witbank-where it joins the N4
Take BELFAST off ramp –go through Belfast town to DULLSTROOM and on to LYDENBURG.
At the junction on the outskirts of Lydenburg go straight across and on to the Weltevreden gravel road.
Follow this road to the 19km marker where you will see the Calverton sign. Turn left here.
The first gate you come across on the left is the managers house please proceed to a gate – saying Calverton
Alternative directions via Schoemanskloof Road
Coordinates 25 14 45 S 30 31 27 E
Take the N12 – direction Nelspruit/Mbombela
or
Take the N4 – direction Nelspruit / Mbombela.
Take the R36 Schoemanskloof Road.
Stay straight at Bambi Motel where the R36 turns off to the left direction Lydenburg/Mashishing. The road continues as the R539 direction Nelspruit / Mbombela.
Another 2 kilometres turn left onto a sand road sign-posted Weltevreden Road (co-ordinates 25 39 49 S 30 56 12 E) You will drive through a citrus farm – you will see Mathews Phosa sign on the right just after this you will come to a T-junction turn left here (approx. 6km from when you turned off the tar road) – this is Weltevreden Road. Along this road there are roads going off to the left and right make sure you stay on the Weltevreden Road.
Follow this road for 25 kilometres (from turning onto Weltevreden Road) then turn right into Calverton Estate at the 19km peg.
Follow the road (500 metres) through the plantation until you reach a gate for Calverton.
Sherbrook Lodge is 400 metres from the gate on your left and Glentana just a bit further on your right.
